Biol 201 Students, Please Attention

Dear Students

Many of you have not written their names on their "Practical Note Books" that they submitted. Please on Monday February 20, 2012 come to my office after 1:00 pm to check for your note books. If you failed to do so then I shall not be able to add your marks of practical note books, which are 5% of your grade.

Final Examination - Details

Your final examination is scheduled on:

Section A: February 20, 2012 at 8:00-10:00 am in S-321
Section B: February 16, 2012 at 8:00-10:00 am in S- 331

Instructions: You are not allowed to bring cell phone in examination.

Syllabus

Structure and function of chloroplast and mitochondria; the cytoplasm: endoplasmic reticulum, Golgi complex, lysosomes, microbodies and vacuoles; cytoskeleton: types, structure and functions, cilia, flagella, fimbrae, pili, significance of cytoskeleton; cell cycle, cell division and its control; apoptosis and necrosis; cellular communications / cell signaling; stem cells: types, sources, uses and ELSI.


Pattern, Marks Distribution and Weight-age of Final Examination

Marks: 50
Weight-age: 25 %
MCQs: 20 Marks
Diagrams / Short Questions: 20 Marks
Long Questions: 10 Marks (2 questions of 5 marks each)
